September Birchbox

Image
So I have finally gotten back onto the Birchbox train and have received my September box. I wanted to share with you all what I have inside and my opinions on them. This is what I got inside... First of all we have the Benefit Cosmetics Gold Rush Blush and the Marcelle Anti- Pollution moisturising Emulsion. I had the choice to choose which benefit blush I wanted and I chose this one, I thought it would match my skin tone better than the other California one would. Then onto the Marcelle emulsion, this smells really nice but I personally think it lays heavy on your face so that's the only down side to it but other than that I think it is good.  This photograph shows what they both look like, as you can tell the blush looks like a warm colour and the emulsion looks quite thick for the formula, this is what I mean by it is thick on your face. I had fun experimenting with this photo. I am not use to doing shoots like this. But both products are nice and the blu

What's in my University Bag?

Image
So it's that time of year again when all the wonderful lay ins and the staying up super late stops and the early morning begin! University is just about to start (for me) and there is one main important thing everyone needs... THERE UNI BAG! So here's what's in mine... So for the first few things I have in my bag are my project book, my calculator, my glasses and my pencil case. Project books are super handy for if you have a lot of modules, like myself and you need each section to write notes in for lectures and data/results in for practical sessions. I brought this from Rymans for £2.00 because it was on offer at the time. You don't need a Pukka Pad, you can get cheaper ones from your local Poundland or home bargains for like a pound instead. Next up my calculator, if you do a science base course, university will recommend you to buy a Casio calculator so that you can use it correctly for scientific math equations etc. You can get a standard black one for

Reviewing The Body Shop Shea Collection

Image
Who doesn't love a bit of Shea? Today I will be talking about the shea collection from The Body Shop. Talking about what their formula is like, the texture, the fragrance etc. So let's check them out … Here we have the shea nourishing whipped- lotion and the shea body butter. The lotion is £8.50 and I had the body butter for free but I think the price of this is £5.  The size of the lotion is 250ml (8.4fl oz.) and the butter is 50ml (1.69oz). Which I mean is quite a bit of product but the 50ml butter is a small tub but is full. Anyway on to the product, the lotion is a hydrating texture, it's watery but not too much. It spreads quite far with just one pump and soaks into your skin pretty quick. The fragrance has a strong smell of shea which I am super happy about because there is nothing worse than a product with not much scent to it. You can smell a mixture of oils in this product and on the back of the bottle it does state in the ingredients that it has a few oils

How to Clean your Beauty Blenders and Makeup Brushes

Image
Who doesn't love a clean beauty blender or makeup brush? cause I do! Today I'm going to share with you all the ways I clean my benders and brushes and to give you tips on how to clean yours. So lets get into it... Okay so first I am going to talk about how I clean my beauty blenders, as you can see these are dirty but once I explain what I do to make them clean I will show you them when they are clean. So first of all I soak my blenders in water (it doesn't matter whether it's warm or cold) until they have fully expanded to the actual size (which you will see the size difference once they are clean). Then I get a bar of soap, it doesn't really matter what type, any will do and I use it to scrub the blender onto it. Whilst I rub the blender onto the soap, I place it under the water so any dirt on the beauty blender is washed away and then I squeeze the blender, letting all of the water and soap come out. Once this is done, I then get some hand wash or body

My Morning Skincare Routine

Image
Morning routines right, who can be bothered to do that? Well in the past few months I have realised having a morning skin routine is pretty important. Lets check out what I use every morning for my skin.  Cleaning your face is very important especially if you want to stop acne, spots, black head etc. You need to clean and moisturise your face! Don't get me wrong sometimes this doesn't work, but your face isn't going to agree with some formulas sometimes and it just needs to adjust to them. I make sure I clean my face with Neutrogena face wipes first to make sure of most of my face is clean. These ones are the pink grape fruit cleansing wipes and are supposed to sweep away dirt, impurities, makeup for clearer skin. Just to clarify they are approved by dermatologist and they work pretty well. They make your face feel fresh because when you use them it gives off a cold sensation on your face and then you feel fresh from it. After I use this, I wash my face with the B

I am a Coconut Queen!

Image
So for those of you that don't know, I am officially a Coconut Queen... which means that I have been offered to collaborate with Coconut Lane UK which are such a cute company who sell cute phone cases, make up brushes, trinket dishes, jewellery and plenty of other things. I was super excited when they contacted me offering me this opportunity and I am so grateful. So these were the first products I brought from Coconut Lane which I think are super cute! We have the You Got This trinket dish and the Rose Gold Marble phone case. The trinket dish is £12 and the phone case is £15 but I think this is good because the company gives plenty of discount to customers and also if you are following a coconut queen like myself then you will be able to get 20% off your purchases, by using their code (I will show you the code at the end of the blog), which I think helps if you think it's expensive. I think the phone case is good quality and it doesn't just come off your p

It's Autumn!

Image
Who's excited for the leaves to fall, that sharp cold smell in the air, the cosy nights in and the wonderful HOT CHOCOLATE? I definitely am and I have started already .  Autumn is one of my favourite seasons because that's when I can wear my fluffy jumpers, drink hot chocolate and marshmallows, and obviously dress up for Halloween! Who wouldn't be excited for that? I just love the dressing up in autumn colours and wearing boots and shopping for hats gloves and scarfs ready for bomb fire night and of course Winter! Also don't forget the candle lit nights with a good autumn Yankee or what ever you prefer, I just adore the fragrances especially Ebony & Oak, it's beautiful! This year is my first time in my own place for Autumn and Winter so I am so excited to buy cute autumnal and winter stuff for my flat! I really want to get autumn leaf lights for my study/makeup room and I want to buy lots of autumnal stuff from Primark which I am super excited abou

August Favourites

Image
Hi lovelies, so today I want to talk about my august favourites, since its September already! I can't believe how quick this year has gone. Anyway lets check them out... This is my first favourite, the Imperial Leather Unicorn Marsh Mallow Foam Burst! Look how cute the bottle is, it's so colourful and bright which I love. Okay, so when you use the product it starts off as a normal body wash gel and then when it hits water and you massage it into your skin it turns into foam, lots of it! A small amount of this can cover the whole of your body. Can I also just specify that this product is super good for shaving! It stops your skin from feeling that rough texture when you shave (that can cause skin breakage, which I'm sure everyone has been through before) and makes your skin smooth. So this is amazing for either a bath or shower and then afterwards your skin smells like marsh mellows for hours no joke! Then the luxurious Soap & Glory strikes again with thei
